Sarah Bianco grew up in northwest Indiana, but has lived most of her life in Santa Cruz after graduating with a fine arts degree from UCSC in drawing and painting. Her love of color and fascination with the mysteries of life are revealed through her paintings, which have themes of self-inquiry, interconnectivity, wonder, and the paradox of discomfort and exhilaration that exist at the threshold of change.
Along with her passion for the arts, she also enjoys interior design and creating interesting, inviting spaces for people to live and gather. This led her to start her business, Painting by Bianco, which specializes in murals, decorative paint finishes, custom interiors and color consultations.
Sarah lives at the Tannery Arts Center, where she works out of her studio, Apricity Gallery. This space showcases her artwork, as well as hosts other guest artists and community events. Sarah can predictably be spotted wearing paint spattered clothing & accompanied by her sweet little dog, Leela.
